Re: [p2-dev] Sharing Your Shared Install Issues

Hi all,

I'm chiming in a bit late here, but I see that there is no mention of
Bug 332158 [1]. This bug affects many of my users and is a constant
cause of confusion for them. Our product ships with a feature patch
(for JDT). If a user happens to have unzipped Eclipse into a
read-only directory, the install fails and the error message is not
informative to the user. Is this bug the kind of thing that you are
looking to fix?

I added this bug as blocking Bug 358471 [2], but feel free to make a
change if I've been too presumptuous here.

thanks,
Andrew
