I think this has something to do with the way you interact with the shell or git interacts with the shell.

They recommend either performing a silent shift if you have your own script or checking for inter-shell incompatibilities.

Updating git is seems to often be a solution too.

I seem to have messed up the release of p2 this week. So I tried again.  It looks like the tags are now pushed, but when I tried to generate the report it says:

 

sh git-submission.sh > report.txt

shift: 9: can't shift that many

 

thoughts?
