Hi, everyone.
I've just done some smoke testing on the build candidate (running from HEAD) in the UI, and the mainstream scenarios for install, uninstall, update, and revert seem pretty sound.
However, I was so busy adding some late-breaking features, I have not had a chance to pin down some problems with button enablement when resolution fails and the user decides to change selections and try again. [1]
There is also the infamous "finish won't enable" bug [2], but so much has changed that I'm not sure if it's been fixed, or appears now due to [1], or...???
So...
If you find any odd behavior with the wizard button enablement, it would really help me if you could be paying attention to the following:
- did the button wrongly enable/disable from the start, did it seem to change randomly (a timing glitch), or did it seem to relate to something you did?
- please be as specific as possible about which items you were trying to install, what you selected, in what order, etc. The more specific you can be, the more it helps me. For example, I just found an odd case in [1].
- When the problem happened, was the resolve successful or had a problem been found?
- Which page were you on and did the enablement correct itself once you had changed pages (gone back or forward if possible)
Feel free to append to the two bugs mentioned, or open a new one if you aren't sure.
