Thanks Andrew! There is also the same set of filters available for each feature in the site.xml. Are they used in p2 and if so what are they used for?

I would not have said this was deprecated, we do have an open bug about this not being honored, see
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=268016 (the same applies to the generator).
In PDE/Build this is used to decide whether the feature is include in the final archive.
Note that build does not support lists here like the feature editor implies, each entry ws/os/arch can only be single item.
In M6 using the publisher (not the old generator) this could be worked around by using a p2.inf to set the filter on the feature group IU (

How does one specify that a feature should only be installed on a specific OS? In the feature DTD there is the os attribute in the feature element. However I have been told that this is deprecated so I don't think the fact that it is not honored is a bug. I can prevent the installation of the os specific plugin using the os attribute in the plugin element but we will still have a useless feature installed. _______________________________________________
