no, not in 3.4. In p2 the site producer can define a human-readable name, so we initially didn't provide user overrides.
However people clearly still want this...see this bug:

I hope this is the correct place to ask this question. I apologize if it isn't.

In the eclipse 3.4 update manager, I noticed that when I try and add my own site, it only prompts for the URL of the site, and not the name. The name of the site defaults to the URL but it would nice to provide a more human readable name. This was available in eclipse 3.3. Is there a way to do this in 3.4?
