That will not however give you any
insight into the Useme code, the idea is to fix dom4j and the changes
will be transparent to our code. What I know so far is that there are 8
classes in dom4j that have jaxen dependencies.
I don't like this approach. It forces us to change other peoples code
(which is hopefully covert by their license) and have to go with this
code through IP. I will have a look at dom4j anyway, maybe there is
another solution.
If you want to look into EMF, that is great, but it is tangential to the
first step. I guess this is less than a days work to scope.
As far as timing, I would really like to know about dom4j sooner rather
than later as it will be one of the keys that will drive our decision
making process.
I'll start today and will get back to you this week, hopefully on Thursday.
