The failure of the 2am build was due to
an NFS temp file that could not be deleted. I am told by build experts
that this "sometimes happens". After a couple of hours this file
seemed to go away on its own. Scary.

After much investigation I failed to
understand why the other build failures happened. There were some very
old map files on the server pointing to old Orbit builds that no longer
exist. These Orbit builds were recently deleted in preparation for the
Indigo release, which is why the error occurred. I just can't figure out
why these old map files were there, since yesterday's successful build
used our most recent map files. My only guess is that these maps have been
around for months, and the content pulled from them later gets replaced
with new map contents. I thoroughly cleared out the directories on the
server where the builds run and started a new build. This build is now
happily running and should be available soon.
