To try the split editor:

log into Orion as you normally do,

open the developer console and type:

localStorage.enableSplitEditor = "true"

refresh the browser

You'll see a layout picker on the toolbar ...

Minutes are recorded by someone listening on the Tuesday status call which moves too fast to list bug numbers for each issue.  My best recommendation would be to look at the recent commit history (http://git.eclipse.org/c/orion/org.eclipse.orion.client.git/).  Having everyone submit status with bug numbers ahead of time as we did with the Eclipse Arch call is possible, but doesn't fit as well with the current style of meeting.

In regards to Tern: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=432940
Much of the functionality is merged with master, but it isn't yet running in the _javascript_ content assist as we are assessing any side effects the change will make.

In regard to split editors:
Most of the commits have been tagged with [Split editors], but not a bug number.
