No, you don't need to specify that field. It's for display only [1].

[1] 'FriendlyPath' stores the workspace path being mapped with a user-readable project name (eg. "/Purple" rather than "/A"). Usually the readable name can just be looked up from the project ID, except when you've deleted a folder that used to be part of your site-- since the project no longer exists, you'd need the readable name to see that "/Purple" (not "/A") is missing.
