I just released some changes ([1], [2]) that allow new editor types to be contributed via an extension point. Our default editor is now contributed in this way.

Once you pick these up, you'll have to clear your installed plugins (by going to /view-registry.html and clicking the "X").
If you don't do this, you'll experience timeouts when loading the navigation page, and clicking on .js files will not take you to the editor.
