A committer election for Ed Merks on project Eclipse Orbit Project
(tools.orbit) was started by Alexander Kurtakov with this criteria:

Ed contributes to a huge list of Simrel projects, making them work with same
set of dependencies and thus being able to work on the dependencies repo that
Orbit provides is a much needed step.
