[orbit-dev] ANNOUCEMENT: Out with the old, in with the new -- build proc

I had briefly mentioned in a previous
note that it seemed one of the
road blocks to making the "new Orbit build" the only Orbit build
has been or is about to be solved (Bug 484631).

And mentioned there in that note I would like to turn
off the PDE based build and will ask the webmasters to make that CVS repository
read-only. All new contributions would need to go through the new Orbit
build. 

This note is just to make this same statement as the previous
note with a better subject line, for proper visibility to the community,
and to say concretely that tomorrow I *will* turn off the old PDE based
build and open a bug to make CVS read-only unless I hear a committer objection
by tomorrow, Wed., August 10. 

I realize there will be some work required to get the
new build "completely working" (with nice "summary tables",
etc., but I've found in similar cases it will never get done without a
hard reason or deadline. If you care about or depend on Orbit, please volunteer
to help!
