for (lots of) details, but in short, if you do not care about Java 8 support,
consumers would not have to change anything ... though, still should (must?)
use the latest version for Luna SR2. 

If you do care about Java 8 support,
the solution we've some up with means consumers can use a more recent version
of "jdt.core", to get Java 8 support, but consumers may need
to change a war file or server library to contain a recent version of  JDT
core.
