Re: [orbit-dev] Contributing bundles from Eclipse SCADA Project

Yes, I am aware of that. But I am willing to help sort out those issues. Hopefully there are none ;-)

I took those older versions as a starting point for creating the newer versions. And mina filter compression is a new one which I based on the core mina bundle.

Mina core 2.0.7 had the same issues during the CQ as the version 2.0.2 had. It only is a minor upgrade and should not cause to much headaches.

We have to maintain those bundles for Eclipse SCADA anyway. So I think orbit would be the better place to do it.

Best regards

Jens

Thanks for offering to contribute/maintain these three bundles.

As I'm sure you know, there are existing (older) versions of some of these bundles already in Orbit, so be prepared for complications in "compatibility" ... either to document the issues (if any) and/or help fix them (such as perhaps older ones will need some tweaks in their manifest.mf files). But, then again, it might all go very smoothly depending on what the changes were, and if these bundles are "well behaved" in an OSGi runtime.

Best of luck,

Hello,

I am committer on the Eclipse SCADA project and I would like to
contribute a set of bundles we currently maintain in our own repository
to Orbit.

The bundles are:

* org.apache.mina.core - 2.0.7 -
https://dev.eclipse.org/ipzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=7634
* org.apache.mina.filter.compression - 2.0.7 -
https://dev.eclipse.org/ipzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=7611
* org.apache.commons.daemon - 1.0.15 -
https://dev.eclipse.org/ipzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=7635
