[orbit-dev] Once provided, always provided

By chance, I noticed a version of some bundles (com.google.gwt.*) were at 2.0.3 in our last R-build for Helios, but now, in I-build, only the 2.0.4 versions are available.

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=320422

Maybe this one time was a fluke, but it seemed like such a large departure from our practice and policy I felt I should post this explicit reminder note.

Once we deliver something ... we always deliver it.

We can certainly repair it (qualifier only change) but not just "drop" a version ... even a service only change can be very significant for adopters trying to re-build something, or track down a bug.

So, I'm sure this particular case will be easily fixed, discussed, and resolved via bugzilla entry .... but wanted to post this general reminder of our practice and policy in case that it is not clear. Does this policy surprise anyone? If so, I guess this needs to be better documented somewhere?

If anyone knows of other cases where versions have gotten "dropped", please let me know.

Thanks,
