Hi Andrea,
For your info...many moons ago we/ECF approached Bela Ban (jgroups
project lead at time) about dual licensing java groups
(www.jgroups.org) under Apache 2 and LGPL (the license that it is using
now). At the time he refused, and I don't think LGPL licensed codebases
can currently be approved for use in Orbit (although it's possible
something has changed here without my knowledge).
In any event...ECF has an jGroups-based provider available and under
further development, but it's available via our 'other' repository
because of the licensing issues: ecf1.osuosl.org
