[orbit-dev] There is a new off-cycle release of Orbit: R20080807152315

Just wanted to let everyone know about our plans for Orbit maintenance builds

1. There is already one! :)

http://download.eclipse.org/tools/orbit/downloads/drops/R20080807152315/

But, just one change, to make a dependancy on ant optional in axis bundle, see bug 241723
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=241723

So, technically, if you don't use axis no need to "move up"  in your maintenance builds
(but staying current is always a good idea).

If you do use axis, you should move up ... especially if  you are having any "early" maintenance releases
(as we are in WTP) ... even if you don't care whether ant is optional or not, we should all strive to be using
the exact same version (so we don't end up with "duplicates" installed).

2. We can have another!

If there are other changes required for the Ganymede simultaneous release, we can do another 'release' a few weeks
before that formal maintenance release ... just open bugs and let us (in Orbit) know what you need ... and, we in Orbit will
keep the cross-project list informed of changes and our plans (a little earlier than today's :)  .... sorry for not posting to
cross-project earlier).
