Re: [orbit-dev] Ganymede promotion schedule

From DJ's note ...
Here is the proposed Orbit build promotion schedule:

First, beginning May Monday, May 12'th, we'd start to produce only S-builds on the 'committers' download site.
Then, according to the schedule below, we'd promote what ever was the most recent S-build to the 'downloads' area for Ganymede
projects to consume. That is ... assuming there were any changes made from week to week (hopefully few! :)

May 12 - promote latest S-build to 'downloads'
May 19 - promote latest S-build to 'downloads', if needed
May 26 - promote latest S-build to 'downloads' if needed
June 2 - promote latest S-build to 'downloads' if needed

After June 2nd, we'd start to produce R builds on 'committers' site, and promote it as the final Ganymede orbit build on
June 9 - promote latest R-build to 'downloads'

So, your fix is in the latest S build.
(on purpose :)

Thanks,

Subject: [orbit-dev] Ganymede promotion schedule

Sorry if this is rehashing, but I haven't been able to keep up with all
the traffic recently.

Which I/S builds will be promoted to R builds for Ganymede and when is
that going to happen?  Hopefully it will be something built fairly
recently, as there have been some recent fixes to jSLP (one we are
depending upon)?

Also...I'm not clear on policy:  do all consumers of Orbit bundles have
to use the Releases, or can they use S or I builds?  Currently (we) ECF
are using bundles from an Orbit I build done last week because of the
jSLP changes...and obviously don't want to do this if it's against
policy...but also don't want to use a broken R or S build.

And if the answers to these are all written down somewhere please just
point me in right direction.

Thanks,

Scott
