Re: [orbit-dev] request for new Orbit build

Scott,

Who are the other consumers of this jar, in Ganymede?

I'm asking since we'd like to avoid another S build if possible, and I'm wondering if you can get by this milestone with us just promoting another I-build?

The problem with an S build is, mostly, it's a lot of work ... technically, we should make a branch, and make sure that one jar is the only thing different in the two S-builds (since, many teams have already completed a lot of testing, and wouldn't want to risk having some subtle change in one of their third party jars. I don't think too much has changed ... but, I'm not sure, and I know a few things have).

So ... would a promoted I-build suffice?

Thanks,

Subject: [orbit-dev] request for new Orbit build

Due to this bug in jSLP Orbit bundle:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=229922

ECF would like to request another Orbit S-build at the next available
opportunity so that we (and our consumers) can pick up the fix.

Thanks,

Scott
