Re: [ohf-dev] Bioclipse

[not sure that this made it through, so resending]

hi Melih

That's a very good question.
What is the scope of OHF? The focus has been on healthcare
interoperability systems, or perhaps on commercial healthcare applications to this point (a wider scope than a hospital administration system), but OHF is what people will make of it,
whatever the initial vision is. STEM, which is a new proposal, is certainly not within the initial vision of OHF, but we adopted
it unanimously at the last FTF meeting.

There's a series of questions that come out of this discussion.
I've discussed them in a blog post at http://ohf-dev.blogspot.com.
Please see this and the links to the wiki at the bottom, and chip in - the wiki is open to anyone to help contribute to OHF's
"map-of-the-world"

Group,

My name is Melih Onvural, and I will be working on OHF Bridge with Eishay
this
summer. I signed up to the list to lurk and see when I could jump in, and
saw
this as an opportunity to ask a question and to introduce myself. I'm
curious what
uses Bioclipse could have for OHF? I've been researching OHF, and I
understood
it to be a hospital administration technology in a standardized format. If
others
have better definitions or website references, I'd be appreciative to learn
more. Thanks,
and looking forward to helping out.

Dan F, can you comment on this - the relationship between this and STEM?

At the very least, it could be a resource for OHF application developers
(e.g. knowledge management, decision support, clinical testing, public
health ...). It reminded me of the graphics in the IBM Public Health
Simulation Framework presentation.

Integration of some of its components into OHF might make sense (both to
them and us).

Further investigation seems warranted.

Does anyone think Bioclipse has something in common with OHF?
