I don't think you can find about it in the news groups, I communicate with
them through the mailing list, here is a note he sent me with the
OSGi/Server related components they work on. They have a public server for
demo, but it is unstable now and you need a password in order to log in.
We will both work on helping Simon Kaegi in his OSGi/Server work. Hope to
create some good relationships between the projects.

Hi Eishay,
The code for the OSGI runtime in servlet container is here:
http://www.eclipse.org/equinox/incubator/server/embedding_in_a_servlet_container.php
My understanding is that it's also checked in to CVS somewhere in
equinox area. I don't remember where off the top of my head but I think
it's mentioned on the above page.
The httpconsole interface is available off of the bug report. Look for
the link on the above page.
The ECF code for all this is checked into CVS at dev.eclipse.org in the
plugins/org.eclipse.ecf.server module. See the ECF dev resources page
here
http://www.eclipse.org/ecf/resources.html
I'll probably be working with Simon Kaegi to enhance/deliver a new
server admin interface (other than knopplerfish httpconsole), as I had
to do a little fiddling to get it to work. If you are doing similar or
complimentary things WRT server-side OSGI, you might consider offering
help to Simon with the existing Equinox incubator project.
Scott
As for the infrastructure group, I don't know about them and could not find
their web page. Can you send more info about them?
Eishay

Eishay, the ECP project seems to overlap with the OSGi/Server stuff, but
I can't
see any reference to that in their proposal - do you want to join the
newsgroup and make sure they are linked up?
Also, this looks like it should be the infrastructure group we
collaborate
with on the server side.
thoughts, anyone?

Subject: [eclipse.org-committers] Project Declarations: Rich AJAX
Platform and Enterprise Component Platform
Date: Wed, 15 Mar 2006 01:35:51 -0800
From: Bjorn Freeman-Benson <bjorn.freeman-benson@xxxxxxxxxxx>
Organization: Eclipse Foundation Inc.
To: eclipse.org-committers@xxxxxxxxxxx,
eclipse.org-membership-at-large@xxxxxxxxxxx
I am notifying the Eclipse Membership-at-Large of the intent of
developers from Innopract to propose the Rich AJAX Platform project, and
the intent of developers from Exadel to propose the Enterprise Component
Platform project, both as part of the Technology PMC.
A brief description of the projects are below. Project proposals have
been posted on http://www.eclipse.org/proposals/rap/ and
http://www.eclipse.org/proposals/ecp/
**Enterprise Component Platform <http://www.eclipse.org/proposals/ecp/>**
The outstanding flexibility of the Eclipse Platform is provided by its
comprehensive component model. The Eclipse Platform component model
targets tools development, tools integration and rich client
applications and offers users a strong GUI orientation. Unfortunately,
there is nothing similar to the Eclipse Platform available for
enterprise application developers. Existing components models do not
provide the flexibility for enterprise applications
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enterprise_application> that the Eclipse
Platform does for GUI-oriented applications.
The Enterprise Component Platform Project's goal is to create a
comprehensive component model for enterprise application development.
The component model will provide a great deal of flexibility for
building enterprise applications from components. In addition,
applications would benefit from the component approach by acquiring such
feature as adaptability e.g. ability to react on changes in environment
at runtime. Finally, the project will create the ability to easily
create enterprise application from existing components for development
teams and users.
