Re: [ohf-dev] Plan for 2006

We are planning to achieve all these things this year.

great; glad to know someone noticed. it's my role to ask questions like that in this case.

Regarding the OHF/Server, our goals are that by the forth quarter we will
have it ready with some sample code of how to integrate with it using SOAP,
we are investigating relevant IHE profiles related to it.

A preliminary implementation of OSGi on the geronimo server
architecture will be released in partnership with the equinox

cool, I'll reword that bit.

The OSGi/Server is using a Web/Servlet Container to load the OSGi bundles
(for example Jetty and Tomcat) through the Servlets mechanism. We will
probably use Tomcat for development, but it should be available on any
container. Implicitly, it will be available on Geronimo which use both
Jetty and Tomcat as containers, but I guess we don't have to be specific
about it. Mentioning the Geronimo server at first is my fault since I
thought of making the integration through its GBeans. Finally, it was
decided to go with the (more generic) Web Container approach. By the way
the Eclipse ECF project is also starting to use this technology which is
great since we will all donate to this effort together :-)

good. I can mention that too.

project, and a test case implementation of CTS will be released.

This year we plan to have SOAP interface only to the XDS client plugins,

what does this mean? I think you mean that the XDS client plug-ins will be available as plug-ins on a server using the OSGi/Servlet container? is that
the right language?

but after these will be done, CTS will be next. We are targeting an
interoperability test case with at least one LAMP based open source EMR
such as openEMR.

is this relevant to HIMSS?
