If you read the CQ carefully you‘ll notice that it is possible to provide a ribbon control. The app developer is responsible to ask at M$. You could retry maybe the situation has changed since the CQ was filed?

Why no "Ribbon" widget is available for SWT ?

 

Why e4, the interface is very customisable and a developper can easily replace the button area with a ribbon...
