Hi Wim, devs,

I have had a review of 1.3.0 as linked below and it looks good to me. However I found two issues with version numbers in the visualisation widgets.

Hello All,

Since the last intermediate release, two more bugs were fixed:

Bug 518172 - Fix the build to use Tycho 1.0.0
Bug 495879 - Virtual GridTableViewer: focused GridItem is disposed, causing SWTException ("Widget is disposed")

We have a new intermediate release here [1]. Please go test.

Cheers,

Wim

Release Process explained

The IP (intellectual property) check was done. This assures that everyone who contributed to Nebula (not committers) were allowed to do so [2].

Nebula is in the Technology top level project and we got a "go" from Eclipse Technology PMC (PMC duties described here [3]).

The final step is for the EMO (Eclipse Management Organization) to declare all this a success and officially communicate this to the world.

The whole process is described here [4]

Okay, with no further complaints from all you thousands of testers, I am going to go ahead and perform the tasks as described in this bug [1] namely, create an IPLOG and request PMC clearance.

Cheers,

Wim

Hi All,

As agreed, master is closed for new features. From this day forward we only fix bugs. I will prepare the release this week and communicate about it when it is ready for testing.

Please check:

·         Has the major version been bumped on API changes

·         Has the minor version been bumped on new features

·         Has the maintenance version been bumped for bug fixes.

Report ALL your releng work here.

Best regards,

Wim

Subject: [nebula-dev] Wrap up the new release

Hello All,

I think we need to enter the final phase for the new Nebula release which is June 28. I suggest to:

* Close for new features next Monday.

* Start the releng work to update version numbers etc..

* Do testing

* Ask for a release review.

Please add your entries to the New and Noteworthy [1].

Please create a new branch if you want to continue working on new features for 1.4

Best regards,

Wim
