AFAIK, we never did move forward with the restructuring of Nebula and creation of the incubator.

AFAICT, our last interaction on this topic was in July.

Is it time to make this happen?

Hi Wim,

Good news, thank you very much !

I'm gonna start the process this week. I think that I'm gonna propose the widgets in the "Incubation" sub-project.

Let's kick ass :)

Hi Laurent,

We have noticed your work and we are very happy to start the acceptance process [1]. It is wonderful that you have decided to join us.

Currently, the Nebula project is broken down in three sub-projects.

Nebula Release
Contains supported and ready for production widgets.

Nebula Incubation
Contains new widgets getting ready for Release and unsupported widgets.

Nebula NatTable
Contains the Nebula NatTable as a sub-project.

You can choose to join the Nebula project as an independent sub-project. You are then responsible for the build and the release to eclipse.org download.
You can also choose to join the greater Nebula.

If you decide to do the latter then you have a choice to move your widgets in Incubation or in Release or a combination of the two. We have a build system setup and joining this would be the least amount of work.

We are a bunch of loosely coupled committers that together maintain the Nebula project. Each committer is responsible for maintaining their widgets. In some cases, widgets have been adopted by a different author.

We have drafted a wiki page for new contributions [1] Please go there and have a look. If you are happy to comply with our way of working then please file a bug [2].

Best Regards,

Hi,

I'm Laurent CARON, the creator and project leader of Opal, a set of components for SWT.
This project is located at the following URL : http://code.google.com/a/eclipselabs.org/p/opal/

Opal contains 32 widgets for SWT: Multichoice, TextAssist, Angle Slider, Brushed Metal Composite, Dual List, Switch buttons, ...

I hope that widgets of this project will be accepted as part of Nebula.

Best regards

Opal Team (L.Caron & L.Costa)
