Re: [nebula-dev] Thinking of contributing PaperClips printing library to Nebula

Hi Matthew,

This looks like a great project, which could really be hosted on Eclipse.
Nebula is no longer for widgets only, we also support 'reuseable UI-Components'. We may have to change our mission statement another time to accept this contribution. :-)

On the same topic, I'm currently rewriting the ShareMedia image viewers (including the 'CoverFlow' one - see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FI42mInV9LY) to be fully generic with an eclipse-compatible API (based on selections and adapters) and dependencies on org.eclipse.* bundles only. Would someone be interested by this kind of UI component ?

I'll blog about this on planet eclipse soon, with all the details included.

+1, I've had requests for this functionality in the past. Who wants to start the CQ :)?

Getting a build should be pretty easy to setup due to Athena + Hudson now

Hello folks,

For a few years now I've been maintaining the PaperClips project [1] [2], an extensible printing library for SWT.  PaperClips provides a model for building documents and specifying layout, and takes care of all the actual layout calculations and resource management for you.

I've been thinking of moving the project to Eclipse, and the Nebula project seems like the right place to put it (although the Nebula mission seems to be geared more toward widgets).  Would you guys be interested in such a contribution?
