Hi,

JFace status is that we are not far away form the independency!

Foundation is accepted by Boris today in a phone-conference:

Convincing that this is good thing Boris is not easy ;-) and I'm not
sure which way we will go but I think we hopefully fix this tomorrow in
another conference.

And shortly after we have fixed the way to go in 163317 we can give
TableViewer-Support a go (TreeViewer will follow later):

Once this is done JFace support for editing is the next big areas where
JFace will provide new flexible APIs within 3.3 which is very important
for many many applications (some improvements are already made within
3.3 more to come like Tab-Navigation, Editor-Activation, ... ).

So stay tuned. JFace is moving big steps forward in 3.3 and features we
all waited for a long long time will hopefully provided soon.
