Hi Sascha, it's great to hear that you're looking into this! Feel free to post your progress and any questions on the bug.

It looks like the gerrit.target has not been updated in a long time. I suggest using mylyn-dev-e3.7.target from the org.eclipse.mylyn Git repository instead.

Ok, next step, installing Gerrit 2.9-rc2 and run the test against that
as well.
