Hi all,
In the next few weeks, I will be transitioning to new duties within my current organization. Therefore I will no longer be able to carry on as the R4E Project Lead.
Going forward, I am proposing that Jacques Bouthilier take over the R4E Project Lead role. Jacques has been involved with R4E since the very beginning of the project (He was even part of the initial design of R4E when it was just an Ericsson internal project) and has been a regular R4E committer since then. Jacques is also familiar with the release process in Eclipse.
R4E is now being refocused primarily in providing added value on top of the Gerrit Review tool infrastructure and as such will evolve more closely with Mylyn Review in general and with the Gerrit connector in particular, while providing exciting new features (such as Model Reviews and Extending Gerrit through plug-ins in both Gerrit and R4E), so now is a good time for this transition.
As for me, I want to thank everybody I had the pleasure of interacting with in the Mylyn, Mylyn Reviews, R4E and, more generally, to the whole Eclipse community. The last few years were a blast! I will still be around for a few weeks, although I will be on sick leave for some time starting next week due to an upcoming surgery.
Let me know if there’s anything else I need to do to initiate the project lead transition.
