More out of curiosity than anything else, I wonder if anyone has considered moving to xcore? The advantage of course is that it is a text-based representation, enabling us to see changes, comment, etc.. just as with any other text artifact. OTOH, we (might) lose the nice EMF compare facility, but you can't use comments there anyway.

I don't think that it would be a good idea to try to manage this transition before doing the model work, especially given that people will need new tooling and so on, but something to think about for the future.
