Re: [mylyn-reviews-dev] User Documentation on getting MylynReview up and working

Hi Alvaro,

Thank you very much for your reply.  I wasn't familiar with how eclipse website was structure so I wasn't able to get to the user guide.  I got R4E install.

I would like to use it with Gerrit.  Could you let me know how to install the Gerrit connector?  I used http://download.eclipse.org/reviews/nightly to install Gerrit connector.  But got below [1] message.  I am not quite understand the error message.  What does it mean by "Cannot satisfy dependency".  How should I fix this?  Should I get nightly build of EGit too?

Thanks,
Deen

Hello,
Mylyn Reviews offers three alternative solutions at the moment as it can be seen from [1],
The two active solutions are the Mylyn Gerrit connector and Review for Eclipse (R4E).
R4E has recently been moved to its own sub sub project and its web page is on the works, however the links below can be followed from [1] to get to the R4E user's guide which contain the installation instructions [3].  Note that the installation instructions point to the latest stable build.

If you would like to install R4E using the nightly builds you can replace from the installation instructions "Provision Software Sites" -> "Mylyn Reviews R4E Updates" for the nightly build in reference [4]

Once installed, the User's guide is also available from the Eclipse Help.

Let me know in case you have any further questions related to the installation sequence for R4E.

Hello,

Can someone help with the installation guide?

I had release version installed and I uninstalled it before I install the nightly version.

Hi,

I am looking at using MylynReview to allow

1) In-line code review with Eclipse ( contextual highlighting, showing who
made the review, etc )
2) Integrate into SVN ( code review comments part of the SVN commit and
update )
3) Integrate into JIRA

However, there does not seem to be a comprehensive documentation that one
can follow as to above that includes all the configuration setup needed,
unless I am missing it somewhere from
http://www.eclipse.org/reviews/documentation.php  ?

John
