Hi Sascha,

great to hear that the feature is ready for inclusion. If it's okay with you I would prefer to wait another week or so and then consume the EGit release. It saves a bit of overhead for updating target definitions if we only have to do it once and it's easier for consumers who may not be running EGit nightlies. 

I'll make sure your change is included in the Mylyn 3.7 release. We had the release planned for February 24 but it's likely that we will need to postpone for a few weeks [1].
