[mylyn-reviews-dev] 0.7 release

Hi,

while compiling release documentation for Mylyn 3.5 (planned for March 16th) I was wondering which features from the Mylyn Reviews project should be included in the release.

I have worked with the Gerrit connector for a bit and fixed the bugs that I have come across so I feel confident that it's good for a 0.7 release. Functionality is limited but it already provides value such as monitoring reviews, browsing comments and updating review status from the IDE.

I haven't used Task-based Reviews or R4E and I can't tell if these are ready to be included on the main Mylyn update site. I am a bit concerned that there are no current snapshot builds available from the download server for either and we haven't had enough opportunity to gather feedback from the community. There are also some unresolved problems that I would like to get fixed before considering makeing bundles available from the main update site:

334692: fix compile errors on Indigo and include TBR in headless build
338174: consider reducing the dependencies of R4E
336436: [R4E] remove re-exports and separate internal name space from API

We should also schedule a full UI review but we would have to do it soon as the release date is soon.

I'm a big fan of releasing early and often but not too early :). That said, I would love to see TBR and R4E be part of the 0.7 release but I am leaning towards making them available on the Mylyn Reviews update site only initially and putting them on the main Mylyn update site at a later point, e.g. for the June release.

What are others' thoughts?

Steffen
