Hi Mario,
I'd like to take your invitation as a chance to introduce ourselves:
we are a team of 4 developers working at SAP where Git/EGit/Gerrit has
become very popular in the last months. However, we think that the
work flow could be improved by having an integration of Gerrit into
Eclipse. Therefore we have started a basic implementation of a Gerrit
connector for Mylyn which integrates with the task list. The work has
been done on our Innovation Friday (SAP's version of the Google
Friday..).
Taking into account what we've heard from Matthias Sohn (EGit project
lead and an SAP colleague) and what's written in the Mylyn Reviews
Gerrit proposal our goals are very similar. Unfortunately, we haven't
had a chance to get a look at the Sony Ericsson contribution to see
where it's different from our approach so far.
To make it short: if you like, we would be happy to join our forces
and contribute to the project by bringing in our ideas, coding,
documentation, whatever is needed... ;-) What do you think?
BTW, probably all of us will attend the Eclipse Summit in Ludwigsburg.
Maybe we could arrange a face-to-face meeting?
