Re: [mylyn-integrators] Code Review Related Integrations...
|
Hi,
the EclipseCon slides predate the provisioning of the Mylyn sub-projects and some details have changed in the meantime. The project plan at
http://eclipse.org/projects/project_summary.php?projectid=mylyn links to the individual project plans and has a
high-level overview of features we plan to deliver for the 3.5 March
release. We'll also have an update on what's been happening at the various Mylyn related talks at this' years conference.
Regarding the SVN extension take a look at this bug which has an attachment with an initial implementation of an SVN (Subversive) integration:
311191: Define interface and extension point for SCM

Steffen, Thanks for your answer.
Sorry for the questions, we are looking for opportunities for contributing code and reusing the support provided by Mylyn.

The goal of the Versions project is to provide a framework that extends the existing Eclipse Team API with additional functionality such as retrieval of change sets. The Reviews and Tasks projects will be the initial drivers for the API.
We currently don't have integration for SVN planned but such a connector would build on the Versions API and be part of the Versions project or hosted outside of Mylyn.
The Task-based reviews implementation in the Mylyn Reviews project would leverage the connector through the abstraction provided in the Versions framework and not directly couple to SVN.

I am still a little confused. Let me try a different question. My understanding is that the Mylyn Reviews has support for SVN. Would this SVN support live in Versions or Reviews?
Regards,
Versions is SCM and reviews is code review. If this is not clear on the corresponding wiki pages let us know. We are still in the process of bringing up the web site pages.

Hey Guys,
We have been thinking about various integration options with Mylyn. As we do that, I have a couple of questions:
What is the difference between Mylyn Versions and Mylyn Reviews? And is Mylyn Reviews now integrating with server based code review software like Gerritt, Crucible, and ReviewBoard (there seems to be some discussions regarding this but the EclipseCon slides seems to indicate that there was a push more towards SCM based review data storage)?
