Re: [mylyn-docs-dev] next Mylyn Docs/WikiText version

Mylyn WikiText has spent a considerable time in its current form, during which time it has expanded capabilities beyond Ant and IDE usage.  It's becoming clear as it's consumed in more contexts that the current packaging is problematic.  In particular the dependencies are causing a significant barrier to adopting Mylyn WikiText when using build systems such as Maven.  I'm in favour of moving forward with 419621 which would be sufficient to motivate a 2.0 version.

Hi,

the current Mylyn Docs version is 1.9. I haven't yet created a
milestone for 1.10 since I was wondering if the next release may be a
good opportunity to move to 2.0?

There is one change in particular that I would like to propose for the
next release that could cause binary backwards compatibility to break
and hence warrant an update to 2.0:

 419621: decouple o.e.m.wikitext.core from o.e.core.runtime

Thoughts?
