Re: [mylyn-dev] OSLC-CM support on the "client" side, and compatible Open Source server-side services ?

Oops.  Yes, that's what I had intended to do. I'll look into moving it.

Would it make sense to move this page to Mylyn/OSLC_Connectors?

Hi Olivier,

I've created a new wiki page to track progress on Mylyn's OSLC connectors. There you'll find an outline of the current CM v1 functionality available in HEAD.

I'll update this wiki as functionality is filled out.

Hi.

I'm wondering what the status of support of OSLC-CM V1 is in Mylyn.

AFAIK, there ain't yet any stable server-side OSLC-CM V1 REST APIs for
Open Source bugtrackers available (OK, we're working on implementing one
for Mantis [0], but that isn't complete yet).

I'm wondering if there's some (indeed Open Source) code in Mylyn that is
close to being operational in order to connect it to an OSLC-CM V1
server, hence allowing us to test with our code for Mantis, and start
solving the chicken and egg problem WRT Open Source tools and OSLC-CM.

At the moment all inquiries we have about OSLC-CM and Open Source (and
Mylyn) end up in a dead-end : no server, no consumer, rendering it
difficult to evaluate OSLC-CM in practice for Open Source environments
(where people tend to trust code more than specs and PRs ;).

It seems that Bugzilla and Trac are in the list of reference tools in
http://www.eclipse.org/project-slides/mylyn-restructuring-review.html
but I have no clue of whether someone is working at implementing OSLC-CM
REST interfaces for these trackers. In fact there's a ticket I know for
Bugzilla at [1] but that seems really quiet.

Any more details anyone ?

[1] : https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=519177

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

P.S.: yes, I know that there's some pieces of code in CVS, but a clear
roadmap and documentation would be helpful instead of me having to
monitor changes in a CVS that changes in a strange way, as it that gets
updated in push mode from another repo... AFAICT :-/
