In terms of being new to open source, the process that you followed was exemplary (sending mail to the dev list, create bug, create an elegant patch with test case).

after looking at bug

i looked at the coresponding bugzilla code and found a problem. If you are interested to have this addressed and fixed before 2.0 final send me a mail. 

 

The default generated platforms for 3.0 are only a few from the in enter_bug.cgi you have more platforms deleted
