[mylar-dev] Re: HTTP Authentication with Web Repository Connector

 Basic auth should work if you just specify user id and password.
 You can verify that your repository don't require anything else as
described in the troubleshooting FAQ at
http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/Mylar_FAQ#Generic_Web_Repository_Connector
Hmm... is there any error reporting for the "Validate Settings" button
or generally for the Web Repository Connector?
I tried adding the username and password, but neither "Validate
Settings" nor the Update action causes anything to happen. Watching the
network traffic, it doesn't even seem to try to validate the settings;
I'm on Mylar 1.01, Eclipse 3.2.1;
You are right, Validate button does nothing. You should create query for your web-based repository. On query wizard you can verify if connector is able to retrieve results.

BTW, Mik, maybe after creating new repository Mylar should suggest to create a new query for this newly created repository.

 Eugene
