Hi
IIRC auto-mirroring was introduced about 10 years ago to provide
improved accessibility for users to Eclipse project repos.
Unfortunately synchronizing problems were never adequately
resolved and so the net effect was often degraded accessibility
and confusion.
The auto-mirroring was therefore abandoned perhaps 5 years ago
with project leaders invited to approve. Perhaps Teneo never
approved.

Hi Ed,
Tx! I searched bugzilla and other places to see what
initiated this. But I couldn't find it. I think I remembered
something on auto-mirroring of git.eclipse.org
to gitlab but am not sure...
There is an email from Matt/webmaster (20th July) on the
request if the projects want to move to gitlab referring to
this gitlab issue [1]. I asked now on that issue on the
current gitlab repo of Teneo (if it is as intended).
both appear to have been migrated to gitlab. Did that
happen with your involvement? Did someone contact you?
Or would you rather it be maintained at github?
I'm fine to keep the project alive. It's just important
to be somewhat responsive to emails from the EMO, which is
why I wonder how the migration to gitlab happened. I was
not involved in that.
Could you please let me know how the migration to gitlab
happened?

Ed

Hello,
Later reaction due to holiday. Indeed Texo is not
active anymore and I find it difficult to find the
time to evolve it.
Teneo is more in maintenance mode. For Teneo I am
once every few years upgrading to latest hibernate
version, this on request, I did this last year, the
plan eventually is to move support to hibernate 6.0
This will happen next year probably. So if there are
possibilities to not terminate Teneo that would be
greatly appreciated.
Any
additional information you are able to
provide regarding the status of the
project(s) will be highly appreciated.
Otherwise we'll proceed to schedule a
termination review in the upcoming
weeks.
Kind
regards,
Maria
