Hi Ed!
I think it is not so close to EMF Search for 2 reasons:
- It is much more limited than EMF Search: the only request you can execute is cross-refs of a EModelElement
- This feature is useful because it dynamically adapts to the selection, which is not what Eclipse Search usually does AFAIK.
Beyond that, the effort required to revive EMF Search and integrate this view as a new kind of request is unfortunately beyond what I can spend for now L

Hi
This looks like an EMF Search, this smells like an EMF Search. It would be great to get EMF Search working so that it integrates consistently with the Eclipse UI.

Hello PMC!
As some of you already know, the members of TOPCASED are gradually migrating components to Eclipse / PolarSys projects. In this context, I am currently considering the case of our cross-ref view (see https://polarsys.org/wiki/index.php/PolarSys_Improvements/TOPCASED_facilities for information about this functionality), and wonder what is the most appropriate project for hosting it. At first sight, reasonable choices may be:
- EMF, as this view works for any EMF model
- Sphinx, as it can be considered as a basic UI component for building modelling workbenchs
- Other modelling infrastructure projects like EEF or Amalgam
What do you think about it?
