Hi everybody,

As I mentioned in a previous mail SAP is willing to help with EMF Query, Validation and

Transaction by providing 2-3 people to these projects. In addition, we are willing to take the lead for the Query and Transactions project as well. SAP recently made a strategic decision to invest more into open source, and especially Eclipse and Eclipse Modeling. I'd briefly like to introduce the people involved:

My name is Bernd Kolb. I am already an Eclipse Modeling committer on EMFT-MWE, M2T-Xpand and TMF-Xtext. Before that I was an active committer on

the openArchitecutreWare Project and a regular speaker on various conferences as well as author of several articles in different magazines. At least initially, I am willing to act as the project lead and committer for Query and Transactions.

Boris Gruschko works as Senior Developer at SAP AG. He worked for three and a half years on the Modeling Infrastructure project (MOF based model repository) on performance, concurrency and meta-model evolution issues. In addition he worked on the Eclipse integration for SAP's Java Development Infrastructure co-authoring and implementing its concurrency architecture. Prior to joining SAP AG Boris worked at Lufthansa Systems (Aerospace) and solution42 AG (Telecommunications). We propose Boris to be a committer on Transactions and Validation. Initially, the main focus will be to make these components run in a non-Eclipse environment.

Martin Strenge works as Developer at SAP AG and holds a degree in Computer Science. For the past two years he worked on SAP's Modeling Infrastructure project on data storage and information retrieval issues. Martin is proposed to be a committer on the EMF Query project where his main focus will be on providing a scalable query solution.

Christian Mohr is a Developer at SAP AG in Walldorf, Germany and holds a Master of Science degree in computer science. Since he joined SAP in 2007 Christian was working on SAPs Modeling Infrastructure project. He is mainly focusing on eclipse integration, persistency, indexing, and query services. At Eclipse Christian is proposed to be a committer on the EMF Query project. Initially his focus will be on providing a scalable query solution.

Your feedback is more than welcome.

Kind regards,

Bernd
