Frédéric,

You have my approval. I'll be wanting to use this for the Emfatic work
that Miguel Garcia is doing as part of a Google SOC project when eventually
we create an EMFT component for that.

Hello,

We need to use the ANTLR v3 parser generator for the ATL component of
the M2M project. We will only need to commit the ANTLR v3 runtime
(cleaner IP base), which does not seem to require the ANTLR v2 runtime
(IP base apparently considered "unclean" by Eclipse).

We have chosen ANTLR v3 instead of another alternative (e.g., LPG)
because ANTLR v3 uses the LL(*) algorithm, which perfectly fits our
needs.

We know of at least one other Eclipse project, which has requested to
use the ANTLR v3 runtime as well:
https://dev.eclipse.org/ipzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1359

The Contribution Questionnaire states that:
"Prior to completing this Questionnaire, the Committer should have
technical agreement from the PMC that the new code is required."

According to the terminology used on the Eclipse Foundation portal,
the M2M project only has a Project Lead, but no PMC.

Therefore, I am hereby asking for the technical agreement of the
Eclipse Modeling PMC that our usage of the ANTLR v3 runtime in the M2M
project is required.

I am available to answer any questions you might have about this.

Best regards,

Frédéric Jouault

M2M Project Lead
