Title: Re: [gmf-dev] Fred Moving to QNX
Fred,

Thank you for your contributions to the Modeling project in general, and your help in getting GMF off to such a great start, in particular.

The best of luck in your new role!

Best,
Rich

Team,

Earlier this week, I announced to IBM my decision to move to another Eclipse member company called QNX <www.qnx.com> . QNX is an active Eclipse member company since Eclipse's inception; it is the employer of several CDT <www.eclipse.org/cdt> committers, including Doug Schaefer who leads the project as well as co-leading the Eclipse Tools Project PMC. Eclipse and CDT are the foundation of QNX's Momentics Development Suite, an environment to build and optimize applications for the QNX Neutrino RTOS. In my new role at QNX, I will manage the team responsible for this awesome development suite.

Given my role at QNX will not involve any activity related to the development of modeling-related tools or frameworks, my Eclipse Modeling Project PMC membership will no longer be required nor will my GMF committer status. I hereby request that my status be updated to reflect this new reality.

I would like to thank the GMF, EMFT-OQTV and EMF committers for the great job they accomplished; GMF's tooling is improving at an impressive speed, GMF's runtime as well as EMFT-OQTV are getting extremely scalable/stable and EMF keeps attracting new fans daily. You are quite an amazing set of talented people and I hope our path will cross again.

Finally, I would like to thank Ed Merks and Richard Gronback for the awesome work they have accomplished for their respective projects as well as for building a community around the Eclipse Modeling Project. It was a great learning experience working with you guys.

    Good luck

        - Fred
