Re: [modeling-pmc] Call Summary for 05/30/2006

Rich,

Are the GMF examples still using the 'org.eclipse.uml2' namespace? If so, can you give us a timeframe for this change?

Thanks,

Kenn Hussey

[modeling-pmc] Call Summary for 05/30/2006

These are the notes I collected from today's call at 10:00 am EDT (please add/contradict/modify as appropriate):

Attendees: Richard Gronback, Ed Merks, Kenn Hussey, Fred Plante
Missing: Jean Bezivin

Topics:
- We agreed to have a regularly scheduled conference call on the third Tuesday of each month at 10:00 am Eastern time.  (Jean, we hope this time can work for you... if not, please let us know.)
- We agreed that it would be beneficial for all project leads of Modeling projects to participate in the PMC
- We briefly discussed project granularity in relation to other top-level projects... to be continued
- Arch/Plan/Req Groups mentioned in charter discussed as a way to facilitate overall planning... to be continued
- UML2 diagramming in GMF examples: should use org.eclipse.uml2.* namespace? (No)  When will these become part of UML2? (Most likely July timeframe, with contributor to follow code from Borland GMF team.  Given the high interest in this area within the community, the focus will be on having this be the model of community effort/participation/contribution. ;-)

Actions:
- We need to get access for all PMC members to website repository (Rich or Ed)
- We need to start a Modeling project Wiki (Rich)
- Need to follow up with parties who have expressed an interest in starting projects within Modeling (Rich)

Thanks,
Rich
