Hi package maintainers,
this is part I (that means that it will be followed by a part II) of a list with some final checks. This time it is about the web site and there are already a few bugs with discussions open that may be of interest, see e.g. [Bug 310525] Helios Downloads Page Feedback
Please check that...
* You are satisfied with the name, the description and the icon on the web pages (e.g. here
http://eclipse.org/downloads/packages/release/helios/rc3). Is the description still valid or could it be improved?
* On the package details page: Does the feature list contain any suspicious entries? Did the list of package maintainers change?
* Or are there bugs reported about the package that are still open but could be closed?
* And finally: The sooner you can send me a New&Noteworthy list with the final links the better. Usually we need to update this list again the day before the final release.
BTW: All these things can be changed in a file called eclipse_XYZ_helios.xml (replace XYZ with the package name) in the *.feature project of the package.
