Re: [mobile-iwg] Pulsar metadata generator and OSGi bundles

Thanks, I figured that quickinstall just needs the org.eclipse.pulsar.type property. I was jsut wondering about the tooling.

Hi gorken,

Currently it is not, but the quick install view supports it (latest from the repository).

if you already have a repository, you can manually edit your content.xml file (I will try to write a wiki about that later). The steps are:

-          Find your “main” feature.group installable unit

-          Add the following properties to it

o        org.eclipse.pulsar.type with the value “osgi-bundle” (mandatory)

o        org.eclipse.pulsar.category.name: name of the category shown on quickinstall view (optional)

o        org.eclipse.pulsar.documentation.url:: url to documentation about the sdk (optional)

Hope it helps. If it doesn’t work, please let me know

Assunto: [mobile-iwg] Pulsar metadata generator and OSGi bundles

Does the metadata generator tool support OSGi bundles? I could not see the option the generator UI. Is the practice to use the generator for non-OSGi content  and merge with p2 generator generated data?
