RE: [mobile-iwg] update press release

Ken,

Very good point about the acronym.  I am hoping that people will refer to the software as just Pulsar. Similar to how people refer to Mylyn or Higgins.  In my experience people adopt acronym’s if the name is too long.

I can think of two possiblities:

1) refer to is as Pulsar <insert something else>, maybe SDK, framework, package?

2) we just call it Pulsar and use platform but with a lower case ‘p’ when we need to be specific.

My suggestion is #2 and if others agree I will update the release.  Also open to other suggestions.

I like Eclipse Pulsar Platform, but the acronym is EPP.  Perhaps this may lead to some confusion with the existing EPP project, as we all know how much people like to use acronyms.

All,

I have updated the March 10 press release to include the Pulsar name and I have cleaned up some of the text.  Comments and feedback are welcome.

Thanks

Ian
