RE: [mdt-uml2tools.dev] MDT 1.1 development plan

Michael,

Thanks for the update (sorry I didn’t notice these in the newsgroup). Are these items (except for the one on DI) committed for this release, i.e. are you committing to complete them for Ganymede? What about support for non-canonical diagrams? Right now, it’s a real pain that the contents of a class diagram have to match the contents of the package (for example), or am I missing something?

I’m OK with dropping the DI feature from the plan, but we should keep it on the list of bugs (in case the specification ever revives).

You can hold a vote for the new committers using the Foundation portal – see http://www.eclipse.org/projects/dev_process/new-committer.php. It should be easy since you are currently the only committer on your component. I thought Tatiana had moved on to other things?

Kenn-

The following plan items were published in Bugzilla and uml2tools newsgroup recently.

Specifically, the actual list contains:

161575     [Plan Item] Import/Export from/to DI
199723     [Plan Item] Composite structure diagram
199724     [Plan Item] Deployment Diagrams
199726     [Plan Item] Object Diagrams
199731     [Plan Item] Structure diagrams synchronization
199735     [Plan item] Diagram relations
199737     [Plan Item] Basic OCL integration
199739     [Plan Items] Extended profiling support
199740     [Plan Item] Diagram specific property sheets
199725     [Plan Item] Use case diagrams

If possible, I would like to drop the very old one #161575, because DI specification seems to be dead and it seems to be better to use resources on something more usefull.

Also, I would like to add 2 new committers into the component -- Sergey Gribovsky and Tatiana Fesenko (both from Borland).

Both of them already contributed a lot of the code (tracked by IP), participated (well, in fact, even lead) the news groups activity,

so I think it does make sense to add them.

What do you think about this?

Regards,

Michael

Team,

An updated draft of the MDT 1.1 development plan is now available at http://www.eclipse.org/modeling/mdt/docs/plans/mdt_project_plan_1_1.html, and has been linked from the MDT home page ( http://www.eclipse.org/modeling/mdt/). Component leads that have not submitted their plan items to me (you know who you are) should really consider doing so…
