The Eclipse UML2 project always supports automatic migration to new UML spec levels, and this capability should be available to any UML product that is based on Eclipse UML2 (that leave out all 3 UML product you mention below).  However, I've not seen any tools for backward migration of UML spec version in Eclipse UML2.  Eclipse UML2 Galileo is now based on UML spec 2.2 and upward migration plans are already underway.

Amen to that. I have encountered tool back-level issues with other tools, like Together, Sparx, and MagicDraw. Is there a way (with Eclipse UML project tools or others) to convert UML models between UML 2.0, 2.1, 2.1.1, either direction? This would be a big help to achieving tool interoperability.
